By definition, a dissociative disorder is not catatonic, and a catatonic disorder is not dissociative. 2600:1700:C3B1:4860:8960:C85C:CD71:E1BE (talk) 00:26, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Resignated children recover when secretly supervised - from the Swedish Wikipedia article.[edit]

Hello

I noticed that thie article fails to mention that the considerably more informative Swedish article brings up the fact that resignated children in Sweden and Norway actually "recovers" as soon as they believe that they are left unsupervised and as soon as they are separated from the parents.

From the Swedish article;

"Supervised children recover

In cases where the children have been supervised and separated from the parents, they have recovered within 1-2 days. When some families with apathetic children were sent to Norway, the parents were only allowed to feed and care for the children under the supervision of medical staff, who were present around the clock, and the children and parents slept in separate rooms. This made the children recover. [27]

Thor Arne Hauge from the Norwegian Migration Board says: "In one case, the child recovered the same day the family went, exactly when they felt the game was lost. Two other families returned to Sweden. One of them came to Norway with the child in a wheelchair. However, they did not like to be in Norway so they went back to Sweden after 1-2 weeks. ”They left the wheelchair. In our refugee camp the child laughed and ran around and played. Three weeks later we got a call from Sweden, who asked us send the wheelchair back, as it was needed again by the same family. " Hauge continues: "From the minute the families arrived, they had 24-hour monitoring by a nurse. We did not allow the mother and child more extensive interaction without the nurse being there." [28]" https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asyls%C3%B6kande_med_apatiska_barn#%C3%96vervakade_barn_tillfrisknar

In addition, one of the main Swedish papers Expressen has just today also published an article featuring several immigrants that tell how they as children were forced and directed by their parents in how to pretend to be "resignated": https://www.expressen.se/nyheter/apatiska-barnen-berattar-vi-tvingades-spela-sjuka/

Correction[edit]

This illness was observed in the children of concentration camps. This is NOT the first time it has occurred. Stating that adds to the nonsense that the children are faking!!! Grammymarmon (talk) 00:29, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
