Fair use rationale image prods[edit]

I removed the bot prods regarding images because they make talk difficult to read. If you want to see them they are at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Republic_Airways_Holdings&oldid=303837038 Americasroof (talk) 15:28, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Should Frontier fleet be removed?[edit]

I believe the Frontier fleet is way out of date since it is dated January 2009 before Frontier was liquidated. I don't follow the fleets very closely but my understanding is that Republic first took over the fleets for Frontier and Midwest and then when the companies ran into trouble they took over the airlines themselves. I believe the only craft flying are those of its three core companies Chautaqua/Republic/Shuttle. Americasroof (talk) 15:21, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Frontier Airbusses are still flying in 2011, no changes are necessary in that regard.02:46, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Once the mergers are complete, the precedent here at Wikipedia as far as I am aware is to move historical information about the non-surviving airline name to that arline's article, and convert the old name into past tense. The fleet information goes in the old airline's article and the fleet at the time of shutdown will go there as well. Midwest is a bit unique in that Republic, after buying it and Frontier, ended Midwest flights by Midwest flight crews, and flew Midwest flights under the Frontier and Republic operating certificates using Frontier and Republic flight crews. So Midwest in effect shut down twice: first when the Midwest airplanes themselves stopped flying, and again when the Midwest brand, operated by different airlines, ceased flying. I do not believe the second shutdown has occurred yet. When it does, we will have to make changes to both Frontier and Midwest's articles to bring them up to date.
