I do not consider this article helpful to learn about renunciation. It barely provides more information than a dictionary entry. It refers to various religions in the introduction, without further elaboration except for a brief reference of modern Christianity. At the absolute least, Hinduism and the Bhagavad Gita deserve to be mentioned. How about the renunciation of ancient Greek athletes and warriors? Instead, only some of Gandhi's experiments with truth are described, but other individual such as Patanjali, Rabindranath Tagore, Thomas of Aquinas, Theophan the Recluse, and others? Also it would be essential to talk about the purpose and/or goal of renunciation and about the many misguided attempts of (enforced) sexual renunciation. It would definitely be useful to expand into these areas. BD2412 T 21:03, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
