Fair use rationale for Image:Rajputs.JPG[edit]

Image:Rajputs.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

HELP!!! NEEDED for Article on Sikh Rajputs[edit]

Someone put a tag on "Sikh Rajputs" article that it will be deleted in five days etc., this article can not be deleted as Sikh Rajputs exist and most claims made in the article are true as well known to local Indians in Punjab only the need is that some interested and knowledgeable editors with access to proper history books etc. can eventually come forward and develop the article properly in time, quoting credible sources. Foreign born and raised editors with no direct local Indian knowledge are requested not to vandalize it as per their own fastly held thoughts and beliefs.

Thanks

Why excluding 'Ahir'[edit]

I noticed the removal of Ahir from the regiment composition for number of times. However, referring the cited book we get the following contents-

"Fixed class regiments like the Grenadiers, Rajputana Rifles, Rajputs or Kumaonis have fixed ethnic groups viz. Dogras and Jats, Jats and Rajputs or Ahirs and Kumaonis or Dogra and Sikhs or Rajputs and Gurjar etc." page 124 and

"It thus has almost all the clans in it viz Rajput, Gujars, Brahmins, Bengalis, Muslims, Jats, Ahir, Sikhs and Dogras. The regiment insignia is a pair of crossed Katars(Rajput daggers) flanked by three Ashok leaves on either sides". Page 135

If there is any specific reason to exclude Ahir, please discuss here..--MahenSingha (Talk) 16:44, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edits by 14.139.249.130[edit]

As is evident from User talk:14.139.249.130, the related IP is always intended to disruptive editing and edit war initiation. Frequently removing sourced statement can't resolve the issue, instead a fair discussion in the light of reliable sources be preferred. Any thing which one thinks demanding compulsory edits must be supported with the sources which say for example - such and such community is not part of formation of Rajput Regiment. If there is any such source then it must be brought to the discussion here.--MahenSingha (Talk) 09:07, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This page contains a few references to 20 Rajput which are incorrect. 20 Rajput(Recce & Support) was converted to the 24 Mechanized Infantry in 1994 a fact that is omitted but mentioned in the Mechanized Infantry article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanised_Infantry_Regiment . 20 Rajput is the oldest battalion of the Indian Army raised on 09 Sep 1212 as the Marwar State Forces https://indianarmy.nic.in/Site/FormTemplete/frmTempSimple.aspx?MnId=X8TeK44cWmsaKbhlcftRow==&ParentID=WAjwvUYjdgzMDAHLcnTSlg==&flag=8CKP966uzg96kLov0aWdfQ== , https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71CqVJlMG9L._SL1151_.jpg.
