Holdfast[edit]

Linking Holdfast to A holdfast is a root-like structure that anchors aquatic sessile organisms, such as seaweed, other sessile algae, stalked crinoids, benthic cnidarians, and sponges, to the substrate. is much better than linking it to a civil parish. MortimerCat (talk) 20:36, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did you fix it then?--Kudpung (talk) 10:02, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for the flippancy. I stumbled across it, but I was a bit pushed for time, so I just made a quick note above, hoping someone else would look for a correct link. (It worked!) MortimerCat (talk) 09:05, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Civil Parish[edit]

For those who may still be wondering, I now have confirmation from both MHDC and the PC that Queenhill, Longdon and Holdfast, together constitute a civil parish of that name.--Kudpung (talk) 01:46, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who you contacted at the PC, presumably the Clerk, but there has been some misunderstanding. These are three distinct civil parishes jointly administered by a single Council with a specific name. Also, there is no village but rather hamlet or perhaps even a dispersed settlement (even though it has its own church - this is a Parish Church, not a Village Church!). I have updated the article accordingly and cited the Council's web site. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 09:13, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Steelpillow, I come from the area, but don't forget that I concluded my suite of Worcestershire articles over 6 years ago. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:09, 12 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
