copyright violation.[edit]

This article has 1. almost no sources 2. the sources are almost all the RCMP itself and 3. the content seems to be almost all copied from the RCMP website's which states very clearly that we are not allowed to copy the content, according to this license: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/eng/important-notices#owner It states clearly: "Unless otherwise specified, you may not reproduce materials on this site, in whole or in part, for the purposes of commercial redistribution without prior written permission from the RCMP's copyright administrator". Wikipedia's policy clearly states: "Wikipedia's goal is to be a free content encyclopedia, with free content defined as content that does not bear copyright restrictions on the right to redistribute, study, modify and improve, or otherwise use works for any purpose in any medium, even commercially". So this is infringing.

At the very least, the offending copyrighted material should be removed and only sourced material should be included, and not only from the RCMP's website (WP:Vanity). -- TheAnarcat (talk) 00:45, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A bit late of a reply, but I agree. Much of this article reads as promotion, and the headings violate WP:SECTION guidelines of capitalization, length and inclusion of references. I've started doing a bit, but it does need a lot more work.

Mistakes[edit]

Aside from the issue of originality stated above, the article seem to have factual errors. For example "283 Sherbrooke Street, across from the main entrance of McGill University.". It's missing east/west, presuming west, 283 would be 4 blocks away from McGill, and on the wrong street of the street to be 'across'. Sherbrooke east would be even further.
