Place of origin... Native Americans??[edit]

As you all know, Native Americans are not a place, but an ethnic group. But regardless of that misconception, how can pumpkin bread be said to have Native American origins, when only 1 of its 10 ingredients are native? Yeah okay, pumpkin is Native American. But let's not look for exoticism in a recipe that is clearly European, at least mestizo. Wheat flour? It is European. Even the cooking method (baking) is European. There is not a single (serious) researcher who claims such a thing. I ask that the false information be removed, also out of respect for the natives themselves. – El Mono 🐒 (es.wiki account) 12:58, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
