While I find it extremely unlikely anyone will ever see this comment, it would be nie if someone could fix up the pedestrian bridge section. As it was worded, it made the bridge out to be universally popular in Winnipeg. I added a few sentences to balance it out and reflect that it was met with some controversy. Too lazy to put a lot of thought into it or find sources, but I know there was outcry originally because the foot bridge itself was a waste of money. Then debate over the appearance of the bridge. Then over awarding the restaurant to Sals after being sold to the public as a fancy restaurant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.79.79.49 (talk) 06:16, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is the Whitestripes section really relevent?[edit]

Sure it is exciting that someone's favorite band played an impromptu concert on the bridge, but is it really noteworthy in an encyclopaedic sense? It doesn't lend any more information about the bridge and just seems promotional. If no-one objects, I am going to remove this section since it really doesn't belong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theshowmecanuck (talkcontribs) 03:46, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since this hasn't received any complaints in the two years that this has been on the talk page, I'm going to go ahead and remove the White Stripe section. Ccyyrree (talk) 19:14, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
