Proserpine is a common name for Proserpina; note that Project Gutenberg has two books with Proserpine in the title referring to the mythical character. (Funny enough, it's also in Firefox's English dictionary, unlike Proserpina.) On the other hand, Proserpina, Queenland is a city of 4000 people with no particular historical importance.
