Name[edit]

C9 League is added again since Project 985 is an important reason that these 9 universities made the decision to establish a alliance finally. Also, the 7 universities except Peking and Tsinghua are generally regarded as in the Tier 2. Renmin University is a special university with Red background, which is also considered in this tier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poppopsun (talkcontribs) 04:37, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure why information about C9 league is in this article. The league was formed by the 9 schools autonomously. Although they happen to be in the project, the league has nothing to do with the Chinese administration that created Project 985. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bayernjuven (talkcontribs) 16:55, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is it called Project 985? There certainly are not 985 universities involved. 125.70.65.231 (talk) 09:04, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Ukraine called Ukraine, and not Happy Land? Same principle. A name is a name, there is nothing to dispute about. It has nothing to do with numbers of universities or anything like that, it is just a designation. Similarly, why is United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 called United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758, and not something else? How about Unit 731? Or Mazda 6? -- 李博杰  | Talk contribs email 01:14, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the second list start counting at 10, since it is a continuation of the first list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.55.214.217 (talk) 03:05, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
