Not cinema[edit]

This article is not related to cinema, rather,a fictional character.I do not think this tag of Wikiproject Indian cinema is apprpriate here.--Dwaipayanc 14:01, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Annihiline[edit]

I am confused about Shanku's annihiline. In Congo Abhijan he says that non living creatures cannot be annihilated. But in Shankur shanir dasha he annihilates at robot at the end.--59.93.244.30 19:36, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it was supposedly a robot.. but was it a robot actually?

It was stated in "Shonkur Congo Obhijan" that annihilin doesn't work on Robots as it failed to annihilate the mechanical T-Rex. In "Shonkur Shonir Dosha", however, Shonku drew out the annihilin to vanish his carbon copy with it which was a robot with "Nylon Hair" - which may stand as a proof for its being a Robot and it also delivers recorded lectures. It was not directly said Shonku vanished the Robot - the story ends when he draws the gun out with a desire to vanish it. Sayutee 05:56, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Again, in Shonku'r Congo Obhijan, Shonku did not use the annihilin even on the mechanical T Rex. He did not bring it out because, he wrote, it was mechanical. Since Shonkur Shonir Dosha was written before Congo Obhijan, may be that was where he discovered that annihilin doesn't work on non living things. -- 117.194.192.222 (talk) 12:12, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Aniruddha[reply]

Wishful thinking out loud[edit]

Wouldn't it be great if we could link out each and every Shonku and Feluda novel to a separate page. I know its too much effort now, but does this sound like a good idea? --Antorjal 00:12, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Grt idea. But will need huge effort. Atleast all Shanku collection shd be set in different pages with a synopsis of stories. Also there shd be a list of characters Encountered by Shanku.Simianwolverine 12:53, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shanku or Shonku?[edit]

I believe that Shonku is the correct spelling. LordGulliverofGalben talkThere is another page existing with the spelling "Shanku" about the same character, but i don't know how to merge and then redirect it to a single page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dev.duffer (talkcontribs) 16:02, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Satyajit swoyongprof a.jpg[edit]

Image:Satyajit swoyongprof a.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: page moved per proposer's links, Andrewa's Google web results, and Google Books, which gives 81 vs 148. -- JHunterJ (talk) 21:31, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Professor ShankuProfessor Shonku – A Government website supports the spelling, Satyajit Ray World also uses this spelling, moreover we have also used the spelling "Shonku" in the article in most places!Tito Dutta (Message) 15:15, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: Google web search [1] [2] does slightly support the move, but I would like to see more evidence either way. There is no adequate case as yet IMO, see WP:official names. Andrewa (talk) 15:43, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hope you have seen the three evidence in my post above! --Tito Dutta Message 18:29, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
