More specific information required[edit]

This page is too unspecific, for example: "By ranking the goodness of fit of various distributions one can get an impression of which distribution is acceptable and which is not." This is probably obvious to most readers. What is not obvious is how the goodness of fit can be assessed, because the methods are quite different to common methods for assessing least-squares or model performance. Methods should be listed for assessing the goodness of distribution fits, for example the Kolmogorov-Smirnoff test. Parts of the article also appear like an advertisement for the programme cumFreq, for example, the figure showing the ranking of the goodness of fit conveys little information on how the goodness of fit is actually assessed, and only demonstrates the programme. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pia novice (talkcontribs) 12:48, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
