Sterling coinage in Australia and New Zealand[edit]
Ehrenkater, Are you doubting the fact that Australia and New Zealand used the sterling coinage in the 1920's? Not that it is recognized as being of evidential value, but if I were you, I would have a look at the articles on the Australian Pound and the New Zealand pound. If we were to use "pound sterling" then we'd have to call it "The pound sterling in the South Atlantic and the Antarctic". (To see why, imagine the article was called "Dollar in the South Atlantic...") This is why I suggested just "sterling", but I agree that it may not be immediately clear to everyone what that means. 86.150.102.116 (talk) 04:45, 13 February 2010 (UTC).[reply]
Nevertheless, "Pound sterling in the South Atlantic and the Antarctic" is ungrammatical, even as a heading. 86.133.247.182 (talk) 00:35, 16 February 2010 (UTC).[reply]
Do we need this article at all? Can't the by-territory sections just be integrated into the respective territory articles? Ucucha 16:34, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The incorrect decision was made, based on no consensus at all. "Pound sterling in the South Atlantic and the Antarctic" is ungrammatical. 86.135.27.76 (talk) 20:59, 26 May 2010 (UTC).[reply]
What do you think would be a better title? Indeed the current title lacks a 'the' at the beginning. Outback the koala (talk) 03:35, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
According to the Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha article, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha are no longer dependencies of St. Helena. I updated the article to remove those references Crowston (talk) 23:48, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:History of pound sterling in Oceania which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 03:49, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
