Pokedex provides more than described in article

This sentence, which is found under the 2.2.2 Pokédex section of the article, should be expanded as such:

"A player will receive the name and image of a Pokémon after encountering one that was not previously in the Pokédex, typically after battling said Pokémon..."

The sentence should read:

"A player will receive the name, image, "cry" (sound), and location data of a Pokemon after encountering one that was not previously in the Pokedex, typically after battling said Pokémon..."

or it at least should read:

"A player will receive simple data such as the name and image of a Pokemon after encountering one that was not previously in the Pokedex, typically after battling said Pokémon..."

as the original statement sounds as if the list contains all the information received, which it does not. One of the most important parts is not mentioned: the location data of the pokemon. If the pokemon is, as the article says, seen in a trainer battle, the player would not have any way of knowing where to catch one of their own without the location information provided by the Pokedex. When we remember that one of the main goals of the game is "Gotta Catch 'em All", this becomes extremely important information for the player--even if (arguably *especially* if) the pokemon cannot be found in their game, but must be traded from another game.

That certainly is a detailed request! However, I won't do it. I know the current description doesn't cover every detail, but we shouldn't strive at doing so. Wikipedia can not and should not contain every microscopical bit of info available about a subject. Every Wikipedia article is in essence a summary, stating only what is necessary to get the point across. The current paragraph doesn't exactly do that... it's already too detailed. Adding even more stuff isn't the way forward. Cheers, theFace 15:52, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Yeah this has been a debate for quite sometime. Even though it exist Genesect is not recognized by Nintendo so we do not recognize it until officially announced. Swifty*talk 22:48, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
