@Bermicourt: de:Taschenwagen and fr:wagon kangourou are linked to each other on languages Peter Horn User talk 19:12, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

According to the UIC glossary, "pocket wagon" is the authorised equivalent "Taschenwagen" but "kangourou" is not mentioned. In French they equate "wagon poche" to pocket wagon. Bermicourt (talk) 21:10, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Bermicourt: That is where the fun begins. I have separated pocket wagon and kangourou wagon since the content of de:Taschenwagen and fr:wagon kangourou are quite different. The article fr:wagon poche exists. Another matter: Google translate rendered a certain German word as "spigot", but spigot is not the right word in this context. Peter Horn User talk 23:35, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No fr:wagon poche does not yet exist! Peter Horn User talk 23:38, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It has now become a redirect to fr:wagon-poche
@Bermicourt: It has for now become a redirect to fr:wagon surbaissé
@Bermicourt: That has been changed to fr:Wagon à poche Peter Horn User talk 16:45, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Bermicourt: "Zapfen" was translated, by Google translate, as "spigots". Peter Horn User talk 00:27, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Google Translate should be used with care when it comes to technical texts. Zapfen may be translated various ways depending on the context. Königszapfen is "king pin"; Drehzapfen is "bogie pin" or "pivot", etc. Bermicourt (talk) 09:21, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In french Wagon poche, in german Taschenwagen and in english Pocket wagon.--Banderas (talk) 11:20, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The French equivalent to pocket wagon is wagon à poche Peter Horn User talk 16:02, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Category & translation[edit]

How do I indicate in category, and elsewhere, that this is a translation of de:Taschenwagen? Peter Horn User talk 17:58, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
