Could someone who knows something about brown algae add information on the source of the gases? It's an interesting point that they produce carbon monoxide; it would be nice to know about the process (the articles for brown algae, kelp, and CO don't mention this, and google isn't very helpful). It seems as if N₂ is their too, presumably from diffusion.Bennetto 02:36, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
