Move[edit]

Suggest this article be moved to Plastic bottle (non-plural, currently a redirect)? See for comparison see Bottle, Paper cup etc. Most similar articles are titled in the singular. Think outside the box 16:43, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just saw it too, but an automatic filter stops me from deleting it. 95.209.101.139 (talk) 22:05, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"PVC is an excellent choice for salad oil, mineral oil, and vinegar." PVC with plasticizers is not a good material for storing anything intended for human consumption. This marketing speak conflicts with other statements in this article. And if you google that phrase, you will find that not only that sentence but the entire section used on various commercial sites, not compatable with wikipedia's restrictive copy-left license. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.76.175.5 (talk)

Thanks, I removed the PVC marketing statements. Also, something about PET Bottle Syndrome. Is that like Korean Fan Death? It's cute, but doesn't belong on an encyclopedia. Piojo (talk) 17:29, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable source[edit]

Source #4 is not a reliable source. It is an article written by a marketing agent on how Plastic is better than Glass.Dmia8 (talk) 03:09, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Dmia8 20:09 4 November 2016[reply]

Also source #8 was located in an Oppinion column in a low profile, online news source. Dmia8 (talk) 04:02, 5 November 2016 (UTC) Dmia8 21:02 4 November 2016[reply]

Impact on enviroment is underrepresented[edit]

article needs more information reguarding the impact plastic plays on the enviroment. Are plastics considered to be biodegradble ? how many plastic bottles are produced annually? What percent of that is actually recycled? How much does plastic contribute to landfill?
