Why does "Hey There Delilah redirect to Plain White T's? I would change that, but i would mess up the page and people would yell at me. PhorkPhace 22:55, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. I changed it so it redirects to Hey There Delilah EP, instead. Next time you see something like that, go ahead and be bold! Change it! -- Plutor talk 18:53, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ken Fletcher directs to the wrong person and the second single "take me away" goes to a list that directs you back to plain white t's ... I would change them but I'm still learning some of the harder to edit stuff :]

Hey There Delilah[edit]

Hm ... it looks like someone messed up the Hey There Delilah it just seems childish compared to when I last saw it ... and references?

Has this song really reached #5 on the US Hot 100? I've honestly never heard it on the radio. 68.61.190.184 03:11, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind..I checked the site 68.61.190.184 03:13, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, yes. In fact it was #1 for two weeks. I mean how could there be a human left who has not heard this song? Doc Strange 17:51, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actual Drummer[edit]

"Dave Tirio joined as the drummer" and "the band released All That We Needed with the lineup of Higgenson, Tirio, guitarist Tim Lopez, bassist Mike Retondo, and drummer De'Mar Hamilton."

Those two comments confuse me, and I'm sure some other people as well. If Tirio is no the drummer now, what does he play? 24.213.101.206 15:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:PlainWhiteTsCoverArt.jpg[edit]

Image:PlainWhiteTsCoverArt.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody Wrote A Love Song About Me[edit]

sooo i just read they're shooting the movie "Somebody Wrote A Love Song About Me," a documentary about the real Delilah. Anyone know any details on that?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainingrice (talkcontribs)

I'm pretty sure it's a hoax. I have searched the web high and low and found nothing about it.
Seraphim Whipp 10:44, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Higge/inson[edit]

How is his named spelled? Its spelled both ways in the article. A google search seems to think Higgenson is more correct, but people here have said Higginson. Anyone confirm either way? Alcemáe TC 22:28, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

why does this redirect to plain whit t's?? User:Ashleyybabyy

Pictures of the band live[edit]

I saw them ages ago, playing at Champion Ship in Lemoyne; I'll guess April of 2005. I thought they sucked then, and was surprised to see they've become famous. I took some pictures at the gig and uploaded them to an image hosting site. I don't care enough to upload them to the wikipedia because that would involve picking one and cropping and all that shit. These pictures are all taken by me, and I release them into the public domain, in keeping with my status as an information hippie.

Any questions can be directed to my user page. --Ich (talk) 04:48, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that; the pictures are from another concert. I did see them play at Championship with the Matches before the place closed, but I guess I didn't have my camera with me that time. Please ignore the links.

Is it just me or do those pictures NOT look like PWT at all?? Plus, in 2005 they were doing OK tour wise so I'm not sure why they'd play in what looks like a shitty basement. But maybe it's just me ... --Bmwbzz (talk) 19:39, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is DEFINITELY not the plain white t's. Liquidcola (talk) 12:25, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What Dumb Ass thinks that this is The Plain White T's? My Son is Steve Mast and I can assure you that these pictures are NOT that of the T's.

Trivia[edit]

I removed all the trivia because the materal was completely unsourced and wasn't the sort of information that could be incorporated into the rest of the article.

umm[edit]

"hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of July 28, 2007." At this time, that date hasnt passed yet. what is the correct date? 76.223.183.127 22:36, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is the correct date. Billboard publishes charts ten days ahead, meaning that the chart "the week of July 28" was released on July 18. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 21:30, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'controversial summer tour'[edit]

Why is their tour controversial? There's no reason given for this. VaughnJess 04:41, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grammatical errors[edit]

Is there any need for a section like this? Surely it's an assumption, anyway - apostrophes can be used for contractions and where letters are missing which could be appropriate in this case, ie Plain White T(ee shirt)s. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.111.125.189 (talk) 04:51, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure grammar doesn't apply to names, its the name of the band, and maybe that the way the wanted to spell it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.235.189.179 (talk) 03:32, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the second comment. As Lynne Truss reminds us in Eats, Shoots and Leaves, this is the way they want to spell it and we must respect their whim. I hate apostrophe overuse myself and would normally spell it as Ts, but it's the band's choice, and I don't think it's exactly wrong. This case is just personal taste, IMHO. --72.54.44.153 (talk) 15:18, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe they'll fix it one day like The B-52s did.76.102.87.195 (talk) 06:18, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, they may fix it one day. Also, it's a spelling/punctuation error, not a grammar error. ;) RdCrestdBreegull (talk) 17:46, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Let's just add "[sic]" after the title. 78.86.61.94 (talk) 04:07, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Band History[edit]

Hi, I'm just letting everyone know that I made some changes to the page because the initial history of the band was grossly inaccurate. Generally it boils down to: PWT was never on Atlantic (who came up with that crazy idea??); Come on Over was self-released (it was either 2000 or 1999 - I'll have to go home and check out my cd); Stop was originally self-released and then Fearless re-released it; Steve Mast began playing second guitar about a year after formation of the band. I also added that De'Mar used to play in Chicago band Knockout. I said their hometown was Villa Park - This is what the TruePunk article said although I remember both Lombard and Villa Park (which are close together and possible shared a high school) so if anyone wants to change it, it's fine but I technically think that the guys were from both (some from Lombard, some from Villa Park). --Bmwbzz (talk) 19:34, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

They have done ONE acoustic song, so how can u start calling them an acoustic rock band?! I think that their genres should be Pop Punk/Indie Rock, Powerpop —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.98.126.240 (talk) 20:05, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds similar to pop punk, but not yet heavy enough to be like one —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.2.97.247 (talk) 14:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

one hit wonder???????????[edit]

I would describe this band as a one hit wonder, wouldn't you? I mean, Hey There Delilah was just about their only song that made any success. In the future, people will look back at the Plain White T's and only remember Hey There Delilah. That is unless they come up with another song that becomes just as popular. But I doubt that'll happen. Soccer5525 (talk) 23:32, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Soccer5525 there awsome —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.138.188.196 (talk) 15:31, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If they put other song in the top 10 they will not be one hit wonder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.8.249.134 (talk) 20:12, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Info box[edit]

It needs to be fixed, except I'm not really sure how to do that, so can someone fix it for me? In the mean time I suggest we get rid of it, it looks like a god awful mess.--24.1.205.187 (talk) 18:22, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the Plain White T's are not an emo band in any sense... most of their songs are about love. (example: 1,2,3,4, Hey There Delilah, Our Time Now) Schneidmaster (talk) 02:38, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Early history[edit]

Why is there no information about the band before 2006? Can someone find info about this..? --24.1.205.187 (talk) 00:13, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Underdog Rocks[edit]

Needs a section about the Underdog Rocks song they did for the 2007 movie "Underdog". They definitely made the song, but it's not available anywhere. 98.127.168.159 (talk) 22:39, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
