Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was to move to Phoenix (The Warlocks album). There appears to be a general consensus to move here, the page should be moved. Waiting for administrator assistance. GrooveDog (oh hai.) 02:18, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{movereq|Phoenix (The Warlocks album)}}

Phoenix AlbumPhoenix (The Warlocks album) — The album title is Phoenix, and Phoenix (The Warlocks album) is the correctly disambiguated location for the article. That page is already occupied by another article about this album, but that article is very rudimentary--an intro sentence, an unfilled Infobox, and a track listing. Simply merging in the info from this article, Phoenix Album, would amount to a cut-and-paste move rather than a true merge. The other article should be deleted so that this much better developed one can be moved to the correct location. ShelfSkewed Talk 02:52, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. While the album is sometimes called "Phoenix Album"[1] or "The Phoenix Album"[2] by sources, the official site uses just Phoenix,[3] and a lot of the sources have that usage as well.[4][5] Jafeluv (talk) 12:46, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Oh, and I have redirected Phoenix (The Warlocks album) here, since there wasn't any new information to merge. Jafeluv (talk) 15:51, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: I was wondering why the album is sometimes known as (The) Phoenix Album. Before I requested this move, I did look at one or two of the pages you cited that use that title, but, like you, I thought the band's website and the other album cover, not pictured in the article (yellow knives on a black background), showing just Phoenix were fairly definitive.--ShelfSkewed Talk 16:12, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
