Well a flid is a flid so it doesn't matter whether the two articles are merged Petestar1969 (talk) 18:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dick characters[edit]

Why is there a section on the fictional characters created by a specific author included in this article? Otto4711 (talk) 17:31, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I closed the rfd for now. I think you should get a consensus on whether to remove the paragraph or improve it to house characters of other literature. You could then re-nominate the RfD.--Lenticel (talk) 00:50, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Phocomelia. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Severe symptoms of Phocomelia/DK-Phocomelia?[edit]

Hi all,

Paragraph two in 'Signs and Symptoms' lists symptoms related to "severe" phocomelia. I'm having trouble finding a source for this (article references NORD in the text but I can't find a source to verify that.) However, symptoms for DK phocomelia Syndrome (https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/1894/dk-phocomelia-syndrome) matches this section pretty perfectly.

Is DK Phocomelia a separate diagnosis/disorder from phocomelia? And if so, should it have its' own page/subsection? OR is DK Phocomelia simply another term for severe phocomelia?

I'm going to do a little more research myself but I'd appreciate any input from others, thanks! V3ganf3lix (talk) 17:15, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Undue emphasis on thalidomide[edit]

I think the first paragraph should focus on the condition. thalidomide is certainly the best known modern cause, but as can be seen there were cases long before modern drug use. That should be made clear. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 02:57, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
