add history of literary societes?[edit]

Would it be appropriate to add a brief history/intro/backdrop to literary societies in the us--college literary societies--as they existed and began in the first half of the 20th century? Philomathean Literary Society (Erskine College) is an example of a page that does so. Jx242 (talk) 06:59, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Current Officer Corps" removed[edit]

I have removed that section completely. Such lists are completely inappropriate. The names of private persons, not notable in themselves, with no independent references, and labelled "current" (a meaningless construct) do not belong in the article. This trivia is of interest solely to members of the society, several of whom are clearly editing this article. This is an encyclopedia article, not an extension of your web site. Please stop using it as such. Voceditenore (talk) 08:05, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Individual?[edit]

The author of an obscure book on rowing blazers and recently launched novelty clothes line does not belong in a list with Justices Scalia and White. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.104.167.154 (talk) 22:18, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
