Someone has completely farked up the references--and I don't understand how to fix them. The basic dates, degrees, parents, etc. are all from the Directory of American Scholars and or Who's Who. The more speculative comments, such as Perez leaving the US because of McCarthyism are contained in the online interview.

As it sits, that online interview is now cited as the source for basic facts. And for fark's sake--he was not friends with Wilbur Jordan--Jordan was his professor. I am going to revert and correct as best I can.

Also--the commemorative volume of essays on his retirement does have a complete list of publications, bio, etc & I will try to add this as soon as I can see a copy for an additional source for basic data. paredown — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paredown (talk • contribs) 15:46, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
