Pamela Mason Show on KABC radio, Los Angeles[edit]

I am surprised there is no mention of the unusual radio talk show hosted by Pamela Mason. For several years she appeared live from 12:15 to 1 pm on KABC, Los Angeles. She was on a station that aired call-in conversations with various hosts, but on her show she didn't take calls. She talked the entire 45 minutes, taking breaks only for commercials. After the 1 pm news was a talk show hosted by Jack Wells. She typically ended her show by saying "Stay tuned next for what's his face." I remember hearing a caller ask Wells why she disrespected him each day on her show. He replied that they had dated at one time but the relationship soured. He always referred to her as "Mrs. Mason" and had the class to refrain from belittling her in any way. I didn't hear her show very often and my memory (which could be in error) is that the program aired in the 1964-1967 era. Can anyone locate other details?

Also, she had a tv show on one of the independent stations in LOs Angeles. I think it was KTTV but it may have been KCOP. I know the show was still airing when the Masons announced they were divorcing. Occasionally one or both of her children appeared on the show, which aired live Monday through Friday.
