Update needed[edit]

Pachycondyla was recently split into 19 genera: Austroponera, Bothroponera, Brachyponera, Buniapone, Ectomomyrmex, Euponera, Fisheropone, Hagensia, Mayaponera, Megaponera, Mesoponera, Neoponera, Ophthalmopone, Pachycondyla, Paltothyreus, Parvaponera, Pseudoneoponera, Pseudoponera and Rasopone. I am writing a little article about large and small bees compared to large and small ants. I got here from Dinoponera § Size:

The only other ants with a worker caste approaching this size are Paraponera clavata (the bullet ant) and the larger Pachycondyla such as P. crassinoda, P. impressa and P. villosa.
