Do a google imkage search, I'm sure you'll find out what he looks like. There is currently no picture in the article, as no free one has been uploaded to wikipedia. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 13:51, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Justin "Angel" Gabriel[edit]

has also been used as a nickname for him? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.194.172.179 (talk) 17:49, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Are you asking or stating? I personally don't recall that being used as his nickname before. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 02:42, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, he wanted to be called Justin Angel. They changed it to Justin Gabriel. He still likes "Angel" to be in his name though. I think his friends might call him Angel. I assume Justin "Angel" Gabriel is a nickname. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.59.23.68 (talk) 06:57, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Alphabetical order for ring names[edit]

For those who seem to think the wrestler's current ring name should go first, followed by alphabetical for the rest, PLEASE provide some sort of guide/source/citation for this. Alphabetical order for ALL ring names has been the norm for quite a while now. Can't seem to find any other pages that are using this so called 'current name first' rule. InFlamester20 (talk) 21:36, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I second that request. I've been editing for over four years, and I don't recall any guideline stating current ring name first and it certainly doesn't appear to have any consensus as can be seen by quickly scanning any other wrestler biographies. Besides, alphabetical order is clearly the sensible option - plenty of wrestlers use more than one ring name at a time. Sarah Stock wrestles as Sarita in TNA and Dark Angel in Mexico. Ricardo Rodriguez (wrestler) appeared as Chimaera in FCW, while appearing as Ricardo Rodrgiuez on the main brands. Listing it in alphabetical order eliminates the nonsense and the arguing about which ring name is most important.
I also find it intriguing at who has been showing up to argue on this (without discussing here I might add). An ip, and two relative newcomers to wikipedia. And out of the two relatively new editors, both primarily edit film articles, and their only wrestling contrubtions are to this article. Intriguing. Also, if Redsky89 (talk · contribs) comments here, I'd be interested to know how is it you know the term "edit war" on only your second day of editing per your contributions? Orphaned references in Justin Gabriel[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Justin Gabriel's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Twitter":

  • From AJ Lee: Lee, AJ. "WWEAJLee - Twitter". Twitter. Retrieved December 2011. {{cite web}}: Check date values in: |accessdate= (help)
  • From Raquel Diaz: "Raquel Diaz on Twitter!". Twitter.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:15, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Career ending base jumping injury?[edit]

Just heard on the June 9, 2017 E and C Pod of Awesomeness, from Tommy Dreamer, that Justin Gabriel, has suffered from a horrible base jumping accident. Apparently he broke a leg and a hand and lost a finger. He was supposed to be on the House of Hardcore tour of Australia.

This is all the information I have, but I think it is worth investigating and adding to his wiki.

Thank you.

Justin GabrielPJ BlackIt was moved back to Justin Gabriel without any reason and the user is currently blocked. Today, PJ Black is more known than Justin Gabriel. • Oppose - Justin Gabriel is still the WP:COMMONNAME Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 20:03, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support If you read the article he only wrestled consistently on Worldwide television (Raw/SD) from 2010-12, then he was demoted to Main Event/Superstars/NXT for the next three years, which have limited viewing. Since 2015 then he has wrestled for the number 2 and number 3 US promotions in the upper midcard/main event positions. Along with his mid-card or main event appearances for Lucha Underground and National Wrestling Alliance. He has done enough as PJ Black to warrant the name change. Appears to not want to go back to NXT. [1] So PJ Black will be his name going forward. Possible new WP: COMMONNAME. StaticVapor message me! 21:09, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not for awhile sadly, ROH draws more people since 2015ish. Also wanted to note that both TNA and ROH have/had worldwide distrution during his time with them. StaticVapor message me! 23:01, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • What's the move to Justin Gabriel by a blocked user that you're referring to? I can't find it; I see two moves to PJ Black (wrestler) by blocked editors, however. Dekimasuよ! 21:55, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose. Well, I don't know. I followed Black's carrer after WWE and I know he wrestled in TNA, ROH, LU, MLW... and has won championships. However, a lot of sources includes PJ Black (aka Justin Gabriel). The video the nom left "PJ Black (Justin Gabriel) turned down NXT to sign with ROH , Adam Rose's bunny, Lucha Season 5". PWInsider when he signed with ROH. "Tracy Williams and the former Justin Gabriel, PJ Black, have signed with Ring of Honor." It's hard to say PJ Black is the common name if sources still calling him Justin Gabriel. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:12, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - per WP:NAMECHANGES. PJ Black is the name he's currently using, has been using for the last four years, and also used at the beginning of his career. Any new coverage that we would source would use PJ Black as his name, even if they'll occasionally reference his previous name. I'm legit surprised the article hadn't been moved already. Mlaffs (talk) 17:13, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom--Ortizesp (talk) 02:48, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose - His time as Justin Gabriel may be short, but he's more notable as Justin Gabriel despite his name change to PJ Black. Hansen SebastianTalk 11:52, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
