Englishman[edit]

Is he English in the film? When Gosling says "Wanna fight?" at the end of the trailer, it sounded like his regular accent. Let Me Eat Cake (talk) 17:24, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article is right: he's American. There's that scene where his mother says it's dangerous for him back in the states because of the murder of his father. static shakedown 23:42, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

several surreal visions? Where?[edit]

.The sequence where Gosling's hands are severed is said to follow "several surreal visions," in fact, the sequence where Gosling seems to get chopped is the only sequence that seems surreal, because it is the only scene in the entire film to take place in a peaceful country setting, with nothing in the narrative to explain the change in location. Other than the abrupt dislocation, there is nothing else prior to the karaoke scene that I'd term "surreal." Checj it out -- it's on Netflix

Action?[edit]

Yes, there's two sources calling it an action film, but I don't think that's precisely the consensus classification of it. It doesn't help that (no original research, I know, just commenting), the closest we get in the film to "action" territory is the chase sequence after the shootup and the fight scene, neither of which are particularly representative of the film as a whole. Proving a negative is hard (and the film is definitely a hard to pigeonhole one), but I'm sure going through most major reviews we'd end up with other classifiers that are more consistently cited. 2803:4600:1116:12E7:D61:96A1:C58:4718 (talk) 05:32, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
