Season-by-season biography[edit]

I have reviewed all the fictional character biographies at WP:FA. None of them have season-by-season (or in the case of [[ biographical detail. That type of content belongs in the television show season article. See (alphabetically) Bart Simpson, Bernard Quatermass, Homer Simpson, Michael Tritter, Pauline Fowler, Tasha Yar, Troy McClure. Admittedly of the two movie characters Jack Sparrow has somewhat of a film-by-film sketch while Jason Voorhees does not. I feel the season by season content is a bit much for this article. I will try to restructure the article.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 23:32, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image and fair use[edit]

I've serveral times removed copyright images with spurious fair use claims. To meet the fair use criteria, a copyrighted image has to have an educational or informative value that could not be communicated with a free image. We have a free image of the actress who plays Olivia Pope. There is no significant difference with the character that can't be communicated by showing the actress - thus any fair use claim is invalid. It would be different if the character has something distinct in appearance or costume from the actress, but there's no question of that here.--Scott Mac 23:46, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to phrase this delicately so it is not interpreted as an attempt to play the race card, but many people think all black people look alike. I imagine if they can not tell different black people apart, it is somewhat difficult to tell two different characters by the same black person apart in terms of appearance. The Kerry Washington character Broomhilda Von Shaft of Django Unchained with the big natural hair bun groomed to appear like a slave in the big house and the Kerry Washington character Olivia Pope of Scandal with short straight (I don't know if black women call this a Bob cut) hair groomed to appear like a woman who has the President of the United States on speed dial do not look alike to people who can tell black people apart. I am going to restore the image and if you feel it is a problem, I suggest that you nominate it at WP:NFCR.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 03:36, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

GAR request[edit]

The article needs updating (four seasons worth of info to add). The lead could probably do with an expansion too. @TonyTheTiger, Jmagicvamp, and Mrschimpf: AIRcorn (talk) 23:34, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I was hoping that this article would have a fan base interested in keeping it updated like some of the other characters that I have created. I am too busy to update the article. Unless the other authors have an interest in updating this, you can either fail this or nominate it as a community GAR and hope interest exists there.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:51, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@TonyTheTiger: That is fair. Another editor has started a individual reassessment (I will link this comment from there), so the process is already underway. AIRcorn (talk) 19:40, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for the messages. This article requires a lot of work in my opinion. Aoba47 (talk) 19:45, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I will leave the GAR open for a month from its initial opening to allow a chance for any interested editors to participate. If nothing is changed by that time, I will demote this. Aoba47 (talk) 19:28, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
