Coins and such?[edit]

Isn't there an image of those coins thought to depict Ogmios on Commons? What about some of the non-classical depictions of Hercules on Gallic reliefs? I may need to do some hunting around... Q·L·1968 05:25, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I had another idea about an illustration. Ogmios can appear in Renaissance-era woodcuts in emblem books as an image of the power of eloquence. Alciato Emblem 181 is an example. I'll try to find a good example in the public domain. Q·L·1968 22:58, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Variant spelling[edit]

Is there a source for the variant spelling Ogimius? I haven’t seen this elsewhere – is it a variant spelling from a manuscript of Lucian? If nobody can come up with a source, I think I’ll remove it... Q·L·1968 22:52, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are quite a few results on Google Books for "Ogimius". Does look like it might have been a variant spelling. --YodinT 01:11, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, I found one as well. (Granted, most of the hits I looked at proved to be OCR errors...) Anyway, fair enough. Q·L·1968 19:18, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I noticed some OCR errors as well; not the end of the world if it was removed! Also wanted to say thanks for your work on this article! --YodinT 23:09, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, thanks very much! 😀 I appreciate it. Q·L·1968 01:43, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
