German Confederation[edit]

I deleted the sentence mentioning the "fact" about the German Confederation because the German Confederation did not have borders that were wider than Germany - Luxemourg, Liechtenstein and Austria were regarded to be German, so the whole German Confederation WAS German. Liechtenstein was as German as Bavaria, as Austria, as Luxembourg, as Prussia and as Wurttemberg.

English text[edit]

It would be good if someone could translate the anthem's version till 1963 into English. Thank you.

Well, they changed "german Rhine" - which referred to the language but was seen inappropriate then I think - to "young Rhine" (in the sense of upper Rhine). That's all. --83.135.233.85 20:26, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Considering there are 3 more stanzas this isn't all.. I have added a complete translation, feel free to reformat or revise it :) P.S. sorry I was not logged in, it is me, tiktak 15:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics of Anthem[edit]

The lyrics displayed when playing the anthem are from the old imperial German anthem. Not the current Lichtenstein ones. 130.0.124.29 (talk) 14:05, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
