Is there any record anywhere of this being the most melancholy, gloomiest, un-hopeful song in any Disney animated movie? Songs from Disney movies are generally thought of as being happy and lively, or hopeful and optimistic at the very least. I will not add this because, as far as I know, this is only my own observation. I would like to know, though, if this has ever been researched and documented.
