Genre (August 2012)[edit]

This series is not a Yaoi. Can whoever keeps editing it please stop putting yaoi as a genre? It's getting annoying. 99.101.181.216 (talk) 07:42, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Genres (September 2014)[edit]

I'm having difficulty establishing the genres for this topic. One review by ANN calls it post-apocalyptic science fiction with a utopia/dystopia (but doesn't state that the later is a genre),[1] A news report and the Summer 2011 season guide from ANN simply calls it science fiction.[2][3] Sentai Filmworks lists five genres (Mystery, Horror, Sci-Fi, Drama, Adventure), but gives no indication as to which ones are the most relevant.[4] Them Anime Reviews states then genre as dystopian science fiction.

The common baseline of all of these reliable sources is science fiction. Two sources give specific science fiction sub-genres, however, they doesn't agree with each other. Editors in the past have proclaimed that No. 6 is yaoi or shonon-ai, but that is not supported by any reliable sources.

So far, science fiction has a solid hold, while dystopia is shaky at best. Are there any other reliable sources that describe the genre of No. 6? —Farix (t | c) 17:17, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
