We cannot simply copy this page. It's a reliable source, if one with a point of view; but the Navy League has a right tot their own words. Please see WP:CopyvioSeptentrionalisPMAnderson 21:57, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually as a work of the US Govt there's a good chance it's in the public domain. But it should be attributed. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 18:59, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As can be seen at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alfred Thayer Mahan Award for Literary Achievement these awards are not holding up to Wikipedia standards of notability. I've searched hard and can't find third-party sources that discuss the award in depth. So rather than deleting the material I've merged it here. The remaining awards should have similar treatment - if/when that were to happen it would justify the creation of a new article called Navy League Sea services awards (or whatever they are called a group) which it should be possible to source for notability as a group. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 18:59, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
