Contested deletion[edit]

  • This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because she will present one of the biggest television shows worldwide in May. No chance it will be deleted. --BabbaQ (talk) 21:32, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... this is will grow don't delete it please snif snif--189.71.207.252 (talk) 23:04, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep the article is obviously in its early stages, and with a little collaborative help from members within WP:ESC, more notability can be added before the weekend arrives. WesleyMouse 16:58, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Under the circumstances and worldwide popularity of the Eurovision Song Contest, the reason given for deletion as WP:BLP1E is incorrect. The guidance state that an article such as this would be permitted if "the significance of an event or individual is indicated by how persistent the coverage is in reliable sources", and "in addition, some subject specific notability guidelines such as Wikipedia:Notability (sports) provide criteria that may support the notability of certain individuals who are known chiefly for one event." WesleyMouse 17:26, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • There is no doupt the ESC is significant, but the subject's role in it should be substantial in order to deserve an article. And by the way, this is not a deletion discussion, so could we move it to the appropriate thread in ESC 2012 so that the discussion isn't split in two places? • Not sure if you are aware Kosmo, but once a PROD tag is added to an article, then 2 things may take place upon objection of the PROD. 1) a user may remove the PROD tag; or 2) users may engage in a discussion on the article's talk page stating their reasons for keep or delete. So this discussion here which BabbaQ (talk · contribs) initiated, is perfectly acceptable. WesleyMouse 18:08, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Instant notability trough hosting one of the biggest and most watched music events on television in May. The user who originally put this article up for deletion is from Canada and was probably not aware of the major event here in Europe. Also articles about her is starting to pop up from other Wikipedias now when she has been revealed as host of the contest.--BabbaQ (talk) 17:01, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - This article should not be deleted. If you're a pro-armenian go cry over your loss, don't mess with Azerbaijani people on their wiki pages. Won't end well for you. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1elvinn (talkcontribs) 19:16, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • This page is such a waste of space and travesty for Wikipedia. It was "improved" by adding a bunch of background (high school, law school, etc.) This doesn't make her notable! It's just more details about someone's life. I am nobody and have a way more interesting and impressive resume than this person with 1000 Twitter followers. Give me a break. Literally nobody cares about the boring resume of someone who hosted the 2012 Eurovision Award. As is evident from the comment above this, it's all about propping up these Azerbaijani figures. Wikipedia has been constantly under assault by Azerbaijani trolls. The Azerbaijani Wikipedia is full of conjecture, false histories, and just bizarre stuff. Please leave our English Wikipedia alone. 2600:8801:C801:D100:319D:2FD6:F35:13A0 (talk) 03:29, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
