Per WP:MOSDAB concerns[edit]

Chinese/Japanese aren't English. The fact that these characters are usually transcribed by a different pronunciation in other contexts is not a guarantee that they are never read that way or appeared that way in older less informed sources. Just leave it for the people who might need it, even if you personally don't.

More generally, blanking is never a solution to anything apart from nonsense or vandalism. This was neither. [A possible alternative would be to redirect all Japanese, Korean, and Chinese content to the character dabs that currently point elsewhere (like here). Assuming we're not doing that, then here needs to remain so that the other pages work correctly. The confusion between variant Japanese readings doesn't actually spill over into Chinese or Korean pronunciations... at least, not the extent that the current See also doesn't cover.] — LlywelynII 09:43, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
