Untitled[edit]

The existing Nanolaser page on Wikipedia has presented a simple definition of nanolasers and a small subset of their potential application. However, there are a few things I think the page needs to be improved on. First of all, only two scientific advances in nanolasers published in 2012 are listed on the existing page. It is necessary to update and summarize the greatest progress made in nanolasers in the past decade to help people better understand nanolasers. In addition, although the existing web page focuses on the development of nanolasers in the United States, in order to provide a more neutral and comprehensive overview of nanolasers, it should include the efforts of people in different countries. Moreover, besides reliable journal articles as the main source of information on this page, secondary resources such as books and media reports would also broaden people's understanding of nanolasers from diverse perspectives. To improve this page about nanolaser, I plan to include the fundamentals, categories, major advances and potential applications of nanolaser in the revised article. As a kind of laser which has nanoscale dimensions, the revised article will also introduce the similarities and differences between nanolaser and general laser. To be more advanced, I plan to provide a worldwide overview of the progress of nanolasers from 2000 to 2020. In addition to the text, figures will be used to provide a vivid and clear description of nanolaser.Huilin Qing (talk) 17:23, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming of a Section[edit]

I think it may be more helpful to rename the "Challenges" section to something like "Current Research Topics" for nanolasers. This would allow for more clarity and breadth on that specific section DownToBismuth (talk) 18:26, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
