Thanks very much for taking up this review, FairyTailRocks! starship.paint "YES!" 06:32, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! I will start this week if I see any tweaks regarding the article. FairyTailRocks 10:41, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Lead
  • "NXT Arrival (stylized as NXT ArRIVAL) was a professional wrestling event produced by WWE" something is missing, can you add WWE's development territory NXT? Since this event majority featured NXT superstars.  Done
  • You used "featured" alot. Avoid redundancy.  Done
Storylines
  • "Neville first became number one contender to Dallas' title on the November 27, 2013 episode of NXT." What did Neville do to gain no. one contendership for the title?  Done
  • "Two episodes later, Triple H announced that the championship match would be a ladder match at NXT Arrival." You already used the phrase "two episodes later", can you fix this?  Done
  • "Emma earned number one contendership status to Paige's title on the August 7 episode of NXT." Again, what Emma did to achieve this?
A bloody dance-off. Does it really merit mention? starship.paint "YES!" 09:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah note it. Anyway, I've never seen a no. one contendership "match" in a dance-off. Weird.
It is stupid, but it actually fit the wrestlers' characters well... both Emma and Summer Rae (through Fandango) were dancer characters. starship.paint "YES!" 06:44, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are some passive sentences in this section. Try to balance passive and active sentences here.
Sorry... this isn't my strong point. Which ones, @FairyTailRocks:? starship.paint "YES!" 09:57, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, I may be a bit biased in this section. Nevermind.
Event
  • Put a "Other on-screen talent" table here with ring announcers, referees and interviewers.
  • Is there an article for CJ Parker?
C. J. Parker? Nope. starship.paint "YES!" 09:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "... featured Paige retaining her NXT Women's Championship with a win over Emma." remove "with a win" in the sentence since it says Paige retains the title.  Done
  • "Yet, Emma became the first person to kick out of the Paige Turner." the info of Emma becoming the first person surviving the Turner is not necessary. Fix this.
Um. But it is reliably sourced, which points to its importance. starship.paint "YES!" 09:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think the references are enough. Remove ref no. 2 and I think the refs are not in place. Put them beside the last sentence.
  • All the references are needed to cite every single sentence of the Event section. If I put them beside the last sentence, I'm afraid it would seem that I am only citing for that paragraph.
  • [2] (WWE source) is needed purely to say "Red Arrow corkscrew shooting star press". starship.paint "YES!" 09:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Reception
  • "was better than nearly all of the Divas matches ..." Link Divas.  Done
  • "I would gladly have paid PPV money for this" and if Raw had this kind of quality, I would gladly sign up for a three-hour show." Why there is a quotation mark inside another quotation mark? Italize Raw.  Done
Aftermath
  • What happened to the Ascension, Mojo Rawley or other wrestlers that has participated in the event?
Seriously, nothing of note yet. Ascension, Breeze and Rawley are still squashing jobbers. CJ Parker is still a jobber. starship.paint "YES!" 09:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've never seen a tag team champion being jobbers in WWE before or any wrestling promotion. If the titles changes hands or if any superstar will be promoted to the main roster in a few months note here.
Ascension aren't jobbers. They are the ones beating the jobbers, and so are Breeze and Rawley. There's no storylines, just squash wins. starship.paint "YES!" 06:29, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Results
  • Put the reference beside "times"
That genickbruch reference is only for the no contest. PWTorch, which is more reliable, covers every other match's time. starship.paint "YES!" 09:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
After a quick look in the web, I've seen an English translation of the genickbruch reference, [1] which is much better. Also via the reference there is a dark match, can you also add that? FairyTailRocks 05:53, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
English'ed. The dark match, I prefer to use PWInsider. Temp hide for now. starship.paint "YES!" 06:29, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Is WrestlingInc. reliable? I found an article where Cena appeared after the show and the dark match. FairyTailRocks 03:29, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@FairyTailRocks: Sorry, WrestlingInc is not on the reliable source list. It was definitely not reliable when Ryan Clark was writing for it. Added a mention of Cena, covered by reference 21 PWTorch. starship.paint "YES!" 04:06, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ping me if its all done. Thanks! FairyTailRocks 05:28, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@FairyTailRocks: Any more issues with the article? starship.paint "YES!" 06:39, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! Sorry for the delay, after a look at the article. It looks good to me, the only thing missing is the "Other on-screen talent" table with ring announcer(s), referees and commentators participated in the event. After that, it's good to go! FairyTailRocks 10:05, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@FairyTailRocks: the "Other on-screen talent" table is not a requirement per our Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Style guide. In fact, those that I have seen in other Wikipedia articles are totally unsourced, and thus a detriment to our articles as they violate Wikipedia:No original research. The reliable sources (20-23) do not mention the ring announcers and referees and thus I cannot include the information in the article. However, the commentators are mentioned in the first paragraph of the Event section because they are reliably sourced. starship.paint "YES!" 02:14, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Sorry for the delay again, since I have limited internet access. I'm just hoping if there's any source that states the "Other on screen talent". I'm glad to say that this article has passed the GA criteria. Great job! :) FairyTailRocks 23:26, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review, FairyTailRocks! starship.paint "YES!" 02:35, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Arrival vs Takeover[edit]

How come NXT Arrival gets a page but NXT TakeOver doesn't? Ranze (talk) 03:31, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Relax. It will be created, after the show is over. FairyTailRocks 08:49, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, it may have a problem with the notability of the article. NXT Arrival was created because it was the first show to be treated as a "pay-per-view" but it is not, the show is also the first event to be steamed online via the network. I maybe wrong here but let the community decide whether to have its own page or not. FairyTailRocks 12:20, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
