Mystagogy[edit]

I appreciate the entry on "Mystagogue" is applicable to the term as used generally and not specifically to a single denomination or faith community. I was disappointed to look for "Mystagogy" only to find that Wikipedia, a secular non-sectarian online encyclopedia, had decided to explain that term solely in context of the Roman Catholic Church. It is understandable that Roman Catholics would see "Mystagogy" as the Roman Catholic Rite of Christian Initiation but it is odd to read a secular reference that limits its explanation of the term to Roman Catholic doctrine. "Mystagogy" is a term which has broad application in pagan and non-Catholic Christian traditions and yet a casual inquirer searching Wikipedia will be instructed that "Mystagogy" IS Roman Catholic. The entry being itself a variant of the entry found in the Catholic Encyclopedia.LAWinans (talk) 19:04, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
