“cathartic releases of trauma”[edit]

Deep teacher-facilitated backbends may have a trauma-releasing effect which can range from subtle feelings arising, through to cathartic releases of trauma viewed as being stored in the body. Crying or euphoria are common, usually followed by a general sense of clearing or release and emotional centering.

That’s a pretty strong psychological effect, but the source is a random teaching DVD, not a scientific paper or similar. It’s a bit out of place in this article. I’m in favor of removing it. 2A02:810D:600:272C:804A:9CC2:92E3:4CBA (talk) 13:59, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
