FBI EVALUATION OF FAGAN[edit]

The FBI HQ main file on Fagan and his organization, Cinema Educational Guild, is HQ 62-87267. The file totals about 4600 pages.

A 10/23/61 FBI internal memo from Milton A. Jones [Chief, Research Section, of the FBI's Crime Records Section] to Assistant Director Cartha D. DeLoach [Assistant Director in Charge of Crimes Records Division] makes the following observations about a 1961 pamphlet by Fagan entitled "Our Most Dangerous Enemies Within":

"His pamphlet is written in an highly emotional style, and his constant allusion to attempted smears and plots against him suggests that he may be mentally ill. Fagan's spurious logic is easily seen through, and his rabid ramblings do not warrant the dignity of a reply...Bureau files contain numerous other publications by Fagan, all of which disclose he is a rabid anti-Semite, anti-integrationist, and anti-Negro propagandist. His writings frequently border on the hysterical in style." (FBI HQ file 62-87267, serial #660, 10/23/61 M.A. Jones to Mr. DeLoach)Ernie1241 (talk) 19:18, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

HUAC[edit]

I've rearranged the section claiming that Fagan somehow kicked off the HUAC activities. There is no contemporary evidence that Fagan's activity had any connection with the origin of HUAC or anything they did, his own self-aggrandizing retroactive history notwithstanding.Wjhonson (talk) 18:58, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
