It seems to be very biased... and a bit of humour. 'Lively'? Ahem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.230.192.44 (talkcontribs)

An AV Club interview with Wallace Shawn was just posted, http://www.avclub.com/articles/wallace-shawn,26010/2/ that contains a lot of good production/background information about the film. Postdlf (talk) 17:15, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

live version[edit]

Hasn't this also been performed as a stage play? Minaker (talk) 14:09, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Family Guy (My Dinner with Andre The Giant)[edit]

I haven't seen the Family Guy episode referenced, but could it also be a reference to The Princess Bride which starred Wallace Shawn and Andre the Giant? --Theodore Kloba (talk) 16:15, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

comedy-drama?[edit]

Is this really considered a "comedy-drama"? I just rewatched it. I don't think it was intended to be comedic on any level. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.229.129.3 (talk) 15:15, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@207.229.129.3: Yes, if you consider it in the classical sense of the word. Please see Comedy#Etymology. Peaceray (talk) 19:37, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

gross revenue figure from infobox[edit]

I removed the entry

| gross = $15,063<ref>Box Office Information for My Dinner with Andre. The Numbers. Retrieved July 27, 2017.</ref>

from the inbox based on discussion: the figure is very doubtful given the movie's relative fame and longevity, and comments in that discussion thread saying why the by-the-numbers figures aren't likely to have included data from the era when the movie was released, plus other links giving different unlikely numbers. Maybe there is better data around somewhere, but given Hollywood's fondness for misstating revenues, who knows. 2601:648:8202:96B0:3567:50D5:8BFF:4588 (talk) 22:08, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This movie sucks.[edit]

It's like eavesdropping on someone in a restaurant 2600:1700:7680:A80:9539:2B23:A706:12E9 (talk) 04:49, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
