Interesting image that might be good in the article[edit]

At the time of the Exposition of 1878, the Eiffel Tower had not yet been built on the Champs de Mars (left) which housed many exhibits as did the old Palais de Trocadero (right).

What would you think of separating out the stuff about the building/location/relation to the Exposition at the beginning of "History", then going on with the account of the museum itself? And we could even spread this gorgeous picture across the width of the page, assuming one of us can figure out how that works... Sharktopus talk 20:20, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
