Requested move 15 August 2016[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Already moved. @EelamStyleZ: normally if you voted in the discussion you should not be the one to make the move, it will be closed soon enough by an uninvolved move closer. However, there's no harm done here - it seems an open and shut case. Thanks  — Amakuru (talk) 11:40, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mudinja Ivana Pudi / Kotigobba 2Mudinja Ivana Pudi – This is not the proper way to title an article on two films. Only the more recognised and well-covered by the media should be the title. That's why Eega is not titled Eega/Naan Ee. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:25, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Support: Bilingual films with very few changes in cast/crew take the title of the "main" version - ie. Irudhi Suttru / Satyam. It should be moved back to Mudinja Ivana Pudi, with Kotigobba 2 explicitly mentioned in the lead. Editor 2050 (talk) 11:51, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Support: this title goes against WP:TITLE. It's more commonly known by its Tamil title. EelamStyleZ (talk) 01:37, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done I moved the page back, since there were no technical conflicts in doing so. EelamStyleZ (talk) 01:38, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Names in infobox.[edit]

In this edit I modified the films names in the infobox. The previous version read:

Mudinja Ivana Pudi/Kotigobba 2

This, however, contravenes WP:SLASH, which prefers we do not use slashes when we can avoid them and I don't think it's terribly appealing aesthetically, nor does it clearly indicate what these names are about. The version I changed it to reads:

Mudinja Ivana Pudi (Tamil)
Kotigobba 2 (Kannada)

This seems to better convey that there are two titles and helps explain why there are two titles, rather than forcing editors to guess. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:48, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
