Melody[edit]

In the structure section, at the time of writing, there is a hilariously nonsensical claim about the melody:

"Apart from the brief introduction and final coda or playout, there is no discernable melody."

Such a "description" of the melodic aspects of this piece might just as well have been written as follows:

"Apart from the unmistakeably distinctive and indelibly memorable introductory melodic motif by which this piece has gained worldwide recognition as a signature tune of this legendary duo, and notwithstanding the outstandingly creative showcase of groundbreaking melodic inventiveness which characterizes the many solo breaks by each of the musicians, it is uncannily bereft of any discernable melody."

You cannot be serious!
