Exfoliating bark or a similar title seems more appropriate for this subject. "Minni ritchi" apparently applies to some Australian trees with exfoliating bark. Exfoliation (botany) focuses on leaves, although to me, the exfoliation of bark is more interesting/encyclopedic then the loss of leaves (which is covered by deciduous).
