Demographics section[edit]

Do the edits made on May 21, 2007 really belong here? No matter how useful they may be to some people, they seem to fall out of the scope of Wikipedia (see here). They could be just transfered to the talk-page. --Omnipedian (talk) 07:50, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

I think that contents of Maliku Atoll should be merged here. The two are obviously coterminous, the only difference being minuscule Viringili island, for which I don't see the need for a separate article, being uninhabited and mere 200 m long. Dubious[edit]

"Jazīrat al-Maliku" would mean something like "An island (fem.) is a king (masc.)," probably "Jazīrat al-Maliki" was meant. (Anyway, they're both normally pronounced without the last vowel, so the explanation doesn't account for the "u" of "Maliku"). 46.186.34.99 (talk) 23:16, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
