Parachutist Badge[edit]

Surely he has earned a Parachutist Badge since it is a requirement for Special Forces. Likely it is not shown on his uniform due to the wear on the Army Service Uniform of no more that five (5) badges as noted in DA PAM 670-1 that states: Personnel may only wear one combat or special skill badges from either group 1 or group 2 above the ribbons, above the top of the pocket, or in a similar location for uniforms without pockets. Soldiers may wear up to three badges from groups 3, 4, and 5 above the ribbons, above the top of the pocket, or in a similar location for uniforms without pockets. One badge from either group 1 or group 2 may be worn with badges from groups 3, 4, and 5, provided that the total number of badges worn above the ribbons, above the top of the pocket, or in a similar location for uniforms without pockets does not exceed three. The driver and mechanic badge is not authorized for wear above the ribbons, above the top of the pocket, or in a similar location for uniforms without pockets. Special Forces Groups not consistent.[edit]

The narrative reads that the CSA served with 7th SFG. The column of assignments beneath his photo reads 3rd SFG. The official Army dot mil PDF document reads Weimer was in the 7th. https://www.army.mil/e2/downloads/rv7/leaders/bio/weimer_bio.pdf 71.209.110.236 (talk) 22:14, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
