Speedy deletion - hang on[edit]

Unfortunately, I haven't seen the series yet (I'm waiting for the DVD version) or I'd volunteer to rewrite the offending portion.

But what I want to point out is that if worst comes to worst, the whole page should not be deleted, just the "Episodes" section. That would leave a minimal stub article for someone else to expand on, which is less daunting than starting a new article from scratch. --RenniePet 15:56, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I took matters into my own hands and removed the copyright violation text, leaving a simple list of countries visited, which is better than nothing.
For what it's worth, the text was apparently added by User talk:Razdan1974 on 16 Sept. 2007. It's too bad it was a copyvio, as a certain amount of editing had subsequently been done to that text, and now it's all gone. (Although it can be found again by going back in the History, for anyone who wants to write new text, and include the edited info.) --RenniePet 16:16, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy section[edit]

How about adding a controversy section to reflect the negative reception the series had in Bulgaria due to the exaggerated claims, the biased tone and the lack of relevant research that the material concerning Bulgaria had? It's in fact nothing new for BBC, but it's the first "documentary" that angered Bulgarians and even today there is a movement in Bulgaria that wants to put Palin on trial. There is a facebook page for the movement, as well as a vast amount of publications in the local media. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.253.173.163 (talk) 19:39, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
