GA fail review[edit]

This article simply isn't ready yet. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Good article criteria: there are several MOS breaches (1b) such as WP:LEAD and WP:CITE are not followed (there is info that is mentioned in the lead but not in the rest of the article and not one of the sources is formatted correctly). There are only six references, leaving several sections without inline citations, making it unverifiable. POV phrases such as "This show was a huge success" are not cited. Length isn't part of the criteria, and I do not mind a short article as long as it is comprehensive, but this lacks comprehensibility; several key facts, such as Curry's entire biography are missing. Where is he from? Where did he go to school? How did he get his start in puppetry? Does he have family? His birthdate isn't even listed. Even if not many personal details are available there should be information about Curry's impact and influence in the field; what do critics say about his work? It shouldn't be left to the list of awards to express that his work is admired. Right now this article sadly appears to be merely a resume.

In order to be broad in its coverage, the information needs to be greatly expanded and correctly formatted. Because it will take a considerable effort to raise this article's status to Good Article, I'm failing it rather than putting it on hold. I hope that the contributors can spend some quality time bringing this up to standard. Good luck! María (habla conmigo) 01:25, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
