Elder and younger[edit]

I used "the elder" and "the younger" for disambiguation for Michael Boyle (the elder) and Michael Boyle (the younger) because that is what John Thomas Gilbert, Dictionary of National Biography Volume VI page 112, uses to distinguish between them in the first line of his articles. --PBS (talk) 21:48, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
