Page title[edit]

The page title should not be "Methyl trifluoromethansulfonate" but "Methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate". Nao1958 (talk) 09:12, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, there is a typo in the title. However, I would suggest a move to "methyl triflate" per WP:COMMONNAME. ChemNerd (talk) 13:54, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I also prefer methyl triflate, the name people really use for this compound vs the mouthful methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate, but I suspect that you and I are in the minority around here. --Smokefoot (talk) 14:29, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with methyl triflate as well. --Nao1958 (talk) 22:05, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

...methane.... not ...methan...[edit]

Please correct the spelling of the article; it's been three years since everyone agreed it was spelled wrong. Thanks. 71.139.160.146 (talk) 23:29, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
